Baptism

TO PARENTS WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT
HAVING THEIR CHILD BAPTISED.

This is a message from the Church family at Holy Trinity, Tottenham:

First, we join with you in giving thanks to God for the gift of your child. We are happy for you that God has given
you a child. It is a most wonderful event that brings us so much joy.

We rejoice in your desire to help your child have the best possible start in life through baptism or, as it is also
called, christening.

We require all parents who enquire about a Christening/Baptism for their child at Holy Trinity
Tottenham to attend an informal preparation meeting, in the Vicarage or at the home of a member of Holy Trinity
Tottenham. The aim of this meeting is to inform your decision to baptise your child by exploring together the
meaning of Christian Baptism. The Vicar will go into more detail about the implications of Christian Baptism
for parents and their children. There will also be an opportunity to discuss any queries you may have about
the service.

After this meeting, you will receive a Baptismal application form. We hope that what you have heard at
the meeting will inform your decision. Should you then decide that Christian Baptism for your child is the right
course to take at this time, please return the completed form to the Vicarage.

In the meantime, we would be happy to see you and your family join us in worship here at Holy Trinity. Our
main service is at 10 a.m. on Sundays. We assure you of a warm welcome.
