Wellside Cafe
At the Wellside, we love meeting people, and getting to know one another. So every Friday from 2-4pm, we throw open our doors for the ‘Wellside Cafe’, a chance to gather with people from all ages and backgrounds, and get to know one another in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. From time to time, we have engaging activities including Knitting, Crafts, Cooking and presentations by local groups.Funded by the Community Development Fund, and working together with a host of local groups, this term will starts with a ‘Cake and Quiz’ event, followed by a range of activities including Dance with CD60+, Baking with Filling the Gap and a singing workshop with The Spitz. All activities are carefully chosen to be suitable for all ages and abilities, welcoming the very youngest through to the oldest. The cafe will run from 2-4pm every Friday at the Old School House, at Holy Trinity Church, N15 4GZ. All activities are free. If you have any questions, please email info@thewellside.org, or call 02088856326. It is part of the Church’s ongoing project, “The Wellside”, which seeks to provide spaces where people can come together to love and serve their community.
“It’s exciting to have this opportunity to fling open our doors and welcome many soon-to-be friends! It’s great to see people trying out new things, but more than that, it’s wonderful to see people chatting and getting to know each other, often from wildly different backgrounds. These people might not meet anywhere else. We hope that that this will become a real hub, where people can come together and find friendship, community and discover new things about themselves.”Matthew, Community Mission Associate
“Our worship together leads us to love those around us, and this is a valuable space where we can extend the love of the Christ to our whole community. Our worship every Sunday is just the beginning of our role in the community, and we’re proud to welcome a range of groups and individuals through our doors every week. We hope that this group will become a place of encounter and engagement, where people can discover something of the love of God.”Fr ‘Bunmi, Vicar, Holy Trinity Church
